Most of you know how small he is. He has always been pretty small. He was 6lb 12oz when he was born and before we left the hospital he was 5lb 12oz. But slowly got up there.
I was always a little nervous about how small he was and have been kind of self-conscious about it as a mother. The boy eats like a teenage boy though so it makes me feel a little better.
We took him to his 12 month appointment and he wieghed 16.3lbs and is 27 inches long. At his 9 month he was 15 lbs. so he did not move up alot. The doctor says he is very well proportioned but he is in the 3rd percentile and has stopped growing all around like he should. So he is getting to the point were he is starting to worry. Not that he is unhealthy but that he is just really really small.
We have been asking around in the family to see what some of the height is. There is alot of short people here and there but not enough to know weather or not he could have a possibility of dwarfism. Alot of the people we found short are back enough that there is no real way of diagnosing them.
The doctor in the meantime is going to continue to check on signs and some tests we can do that will not send us to the endocrinologist up in primary children's. we will let you know in the meantime if anything changes.
love you all

Easton was 27.5 inches at his 12 month appt. and just a little over 18 pounds. Being a preemie doesn't matter much either at that point. He has always been small, but has really grown a lot in the last 1-2 years. I wouldn't worry about it at all unless he is having other developmental issues. He is happy, healthy, and active, and doing all the other things that a little boy his age should do.
