This is me at the hospital. Yeah!!! gotta love pictures.
The surgery took about an hour and a half. It went great. I
woke having a hard time breathing. There was tube
down my throat and my throat hurt so bad. My breathing would not
stay normal. And i kept throwing up. So i was not allowed to go
home till i could keep things down and walk and pee. I
could not walk till i stopped throwing up. Every time i was sat up i
would throw up. I was expected to go home around one but couldn't
get out of there till 6. It was nice to not have to stay over night.

This me at home on drugs :(

I will be out for about 2 weeks. I won't be to lift over 10 lbs or cook dinner. Thank you
to all my family and friends for your prayers. I am lucky to have such wonderful
people in my life. And a wonderful husband who is helping me and supporting
me.

Surgery

this is how my nose will be fixed. there are also other
blocks in all my sinus areas they are going to fix

My surgery is tomorrow. I will be getting a phone call later today to find out what time. It
is a same day surgery unless there are complications. Some risks are that my eye
sight could be messed with because of were the sinuses are by the eyes.

The surgery will last 2-2 1/2 hours. I cannot do anything for about 2 weeks. I can't
lower my head or lift anything more then 10 lbs for about 2 weeks. I have to sleep
up right and used a sinus rinse and not blow my nose. They said i will be very tired and
have no energy and cannot over exert myself. But i should not have any bruising,
just some soreness and swelling. It will help with my overall breathing
and with the hyperventalating and hopefully with the allergies, at least i will be
able to breathe better during allergies, and should cut back on my getting colds

yeah and i will post some picture for you all and if you have questions you know who to
call. and brett can keep you posted on everything in the mean time if you so desire.

Neuroligist Visit

My appointment was made for the 16th but he had strep throat so they rescheduled for the 17th. I went in and explained what was going on. He tested my balance, my strength, my reflexes and my feeling. I noticed differences on my right from my left but at the time i unfortunately did not think to ask if he noticed anything. GRRR!!!

He asked about my headaches i said i get occasional ones and i get maybe a migraine 2x a year. He asked if i have ever noticed a trigger to my numbness, i said no. I also have not noticed any difference in my balance or in my recalling things or speech. He said that he did not see anything really abnormal on the MRI that would draw concern to want to do anymore tests.

So i am for the next 3 weeks i am keeping a headache numbness chart. I will write down when i have a headache. I mark it 3 times a day and what i take if i have one. Then i mark if i have any numbness that day.

Yesterday i had minimal numbness most of the afternoon and a headache at night. But i fear that my allergies and my lame arm might be helping this along :( (i woke up to my arm really really sore and not being able to lift it very well and its just gotten worse might have to go see a doctor if i can't get it to stop hurting)

So for now i am waiting for him to call me back and let me know if i can continue with the surgery. I will let you all know when i find out.

update

I was able to set up an appointment with a neurologist on may 16th. Depending on what the neurologist says the ENT will or will not operate.
If he does operate my pre op appointment is on Monday may 23rd and then my Surgery will be Thursday the 26th. And my post op is Thursday June 2nd.
So for as of now three of my four appointments will thankfully be covered by medicaid if not all some. I am grateful either way. And i am still continuing to see if i can continue to get medicaid for the next 9 months. Its been confusing but it sounds like i might.

Ok so back in march i got really sick with influenza. I wen to the doctor and he gave me some medicine to help me out. I was sick for about 2 weeks. I then on a tuesday night was sitting there and my corner of my mouth went numb. It spread within 10 min up to under my eye on my right side. I looked up signs for a stroke and called my sister who is a nurse just to ask what other signs were. Nothing else happened and so i decided to just call the doctor the next day. But the next three days my face continued to be numb and on top of that my right eye became very droopy and slightly swollen.

I went to see the doctor and he did a few tests. Poking different sides of my face and arms and legs. Also using a feather. There was definite difference in the feeling. So he ordered an MRI. I got the MRI and he then told me that i had polyps. Polyps "is an abnormal growth of tissue projecting from a mucous membrane." He told me to go see an ENT. Ears, Nose, and Throat specialist. And gave me a antibiotic that was supposed to shrink these polyps. Instead it made me nauseated and sensitive to the sun. (not that i need help with that)

I went on Monday to go see a specialist. He said he could not see anything on my MRI other then liquid in my nasal passages. I was sick when they took the MRI. So he had to me do a CT scan. He said there was definitely tons of stuff going on there and i also had a deviated septum. I would need surgery. But on the down side the symptoms i were experiencing he had never heard of being caused by polyps. He wants me to go see a Neurologist. He says the symptoms sound like MS. So before he will fix my nose he wants me to go see one.

So i have set up to go see one. And have a tentative appointment for surgery. I am waiting now. I am also trying to see if i can get medicaid to continue to cover me even though brett has a job. Or see if brett can get full time to get insurance. I will let you know details as it goes.
